Introduction: Zimbabwe is making a steady come-back after a decade of political challenges. It is one of the most beautiful countries in Africa, and contrary to too much dramatics in the press; it is still full of wildlife and beautifully run national parks even if they are running on almost no financial support. One of the safest countries in Africa, Zimbabwe is populated with incredibly friendly people, tourism is recovering and the country still boasts spectacular scenery and unrivalled water based game viewing and fishing. Some of the best guides on the continent are still here and the country still has excellent infrastructure, good roads, charter flights, top class camps and lodges and all at a very reasonable price.

Hwange, Matusadona and Mana Pools National Parks are wonderful. Victoria Falls is famous for a good reason being the world’s widest waterfalls and makes a wonderful place to end a safari; seeing the falls from the air during full flood is one of Africa’s greatest sights. Vic Falls is also well known as being a hub for adventurous activities such as white water rafting, bungee jumping, zip lining and canoeing. The country’s Eastern Highlands – a spectacular mountainous region are fantastic if you are simply looking for an escape, as are the Great Zimbabwe Ruins near Masvingo, the Matobo Hills, Chizarira, Gonarezhou and Kazuma Pan. Canoeing and fishing along the Zambezi River and Lake Kariba is still very popular and can be combined with walking safaris in Matusadona and along the Mana Pools shoreline.

Pricing:African safaris are quite pricey, however we do our best to match price for product at every turn so you get the best bang for your buck and Zimbabwe is currently a fantastic budget option for the adventurous traveller! Whatever the price, we firmly believe that the quality of your experience in Africa will far surpass the financial burdens and frustrations you might encounter along the way.
