Day 1: Arrive Victoria Falls International Airport and transfer to the Elephant Camp. A guided Tour of Victoria Falls is highly recommended, if not on your first day, perhaps your second day, early in the morning to watch the sun rise through the spray.

Day 2: Choose from many kinds of different activities available in Victoria Falls, sunset cruises on the Zambezi are a lovely way to watch the sun set and get your first glimpses of hippo, crocodile, elephant and a host of other wildlife in, and along the banks of the Zambezi river. If an Elephant back safari is too adventurous for you, simply meet the Elephants, right there at the Elephant Camp.

Day 3: Depart Elephant Camp, transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport and then get your private charter flight to Manga, in Hwange National Park. (This flight is 50 mins in a cessna 206). Somalisa Acacia Camp will meet you and transfer you to camp approximately 30 minutes.

This is a charming small exclusive camp situated alongside the famous Somalisa Camp, known as the home of the elephants, in a private concession in the heart of Hwange National Park. The camp enjoys its own private views of a small water hole that is frequented by large herds of big game which include buffalo, elephant, kudu, zebra, giraffe, and lion.

Days 4-6: Explore the spectacular Hwange National Park. It is Zimbabwe’s biggest reserve, home to a profusion of wildlife, including giraffe, lion, zebra and approximately 40 000 elephants. It provides sanctuary for all the country’s endangered species, including a population of wild dogs thought to be among the most sizeable surviving groups on the continent. Terrain ranges from desert dunes and savannah lands to rocky outcrops and sparse forests, and visitors have the choice of game drives, guided walks or horseback safaris as a means of experiencing the park and its creatures.

Day 7: Depart Somalisa Acacia after breakfast and transfer 30 minutes to Manga airstrip for your private charter to Bumi Hills Airstrip in Matusadona National Park. (1 hr, 15 minutes flight). Arrive in Bumi, have a 5 minute vehicle transfer and then a 10 minute boat ride to Musango Camp.

Situated just off the shoreline of the Matusadona National Park, on its own island on Lake Kariba, Musango Safari Camp is an exclusive 16 bed, owner-run camp. Just a short flight away from Victoria Falls or Kariba, Musango offers an abundance of both wildlife and bird life, with the largest selection of activities available anywhere, or the option to simply relax.

Days 8 & 9: Musango you can indulge in canoeing, game drives, walks, fishing and excellent hosting in the hands of Steve Edwards, an ex-warden of the Matusadona National Park. The waters of Lake Kariba are home to abundant crocodiles, hippos, fish and aquatic birds, while its shoreline and islands are rich with terrestrial game such as elephant and buffalo.

Day 10: Depart Musango after breakfast and transfer by boat and vehicle to Bumi Airstrip for your private charter to Mana West Airstrip (50 mins) where you will be met by Ruckomechi and transferred to camp, a 15 minute drive.

Ruckomechi Camp, situated on the western boundary of Mana Pools National Park, accommodates guests in ten spacious en-suite tented units, including a family unit, all of which overlook the wide Zambezi River. The camp is set amongst broad-canopied ana trees, much loved by the elephants for their rich nutritious seeds.

Days 11-12: The life-giving power of the Zambezi River makes Mana Pools National Park one of Zimbabwe’s most lush and flourishing regions, designated as the country’s second World Heritage Site and known as one of the continent’s premier game-viewing regions. Canoe trips are offered year round and provide a unique and memorable way for visitors to experience the area’s striking scenic beauty and diverse fauna, while guided walks are a great way to take its pristine riverside forests.

Day 13: Depart Ruckomechi after breakfast, transfer to Mana West airstrip for your private charter to Lonestar on Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve. This takes 1 hour, 25 minutes to Harare for a refuel, then 1 hour 45 minutes to Lonestar. Arrive and transfer to Singita Pamushana Lodge, a 30 minute drive.

One of Africa’s best-kept secrets, Singita Pamushana Lodge is found within the Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve in south-eastern Zimbabwe. Nestling beneath the trees, the lodge incorporates the natural environment and the forest-like architecture enhances views of the pool, the lush gardens and the lake below.

Days 14-15: Enjoy game driving and walking (with the chance of bumping into a black rhino!) in the stunning Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve. You can also try your hand at fishing, or relax on the water and go canoeing, take a boat cruises at sundown and then unwind at the spa.

Day 16: Depart Singita Pamushana and transfer to Buffalo Range International Airport in a closed vehicle (40 mins). Depart at 15:00 hours from Buffalo Range International Airport on FDR247 to OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg. Arrive at 16:45 and transfer to your connecting flights.
